The HRN is partnering closely with our local Emergency Operations Committee to strengthen disaster readiness throughout the hilltowns. Shelburnes Emergency Management Director Tom Williams serves on the HRN Steering Committee.

50% of West County residents don't have enough to eat. Village of Veggies focuses on building local agriculture partnerships through land sharing, education, and community donation. HRN is woking to connect those who wish to farm with land shares.

Better than half  the residents of West County are low to moderate income, yet Shelburne has not met the Chapter 40B requirement for 10% of year round housing to be deed restricted affordable housing. Shelburne has less than 6%. HRN Committee Members are actively working to change this.
